The time has finally come for our Farmington Temple Open House! This month we will have the great blessing to go inside the temple, explore its beauty, and partake of the great Spirit that is there. What a tremendous blessing! What a great opportunity to share this invitation with everyone, from all walks of life and all backgrounds. The Temple can bless our lives in so many ways. It is where we go to make covenants with our Heavenly Father-covenants that have eternal significance. It is where we go to leave behind the stresses and cares of the world. It is where we find peace. It is where we go to find answers. Answers to our questions, and guidance for our concerns. It is where we go to build faith. It is where we can go to make covenants and perform ordinances on behalf of our ancestors who have passed on and can no longer do the work themselves. We live in a country that was in many ways born of a determination to find religious freedom. The 11th Article of Faith reminds us that “We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.” I am so grateful to celebrate the freedom that this country represents. It is because of this religious freedom that we can worship according to our own conscience. Because of religious freedom we can build temples and receive the tremendous blessings that come from temple worship! Please know that all are welcome to this Temple Open House event!
